2-(Methylsulfonyl)-4-(2-phenyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)pyrimidine (1-3, 100 mg, 0.33 mmol) and 3-[(4-acetylpiperazin-1-yl)methyl]-5-methylaniline (240 mg) were combined neat and heated to 130° C. After 2 hours the mixture was cooled to room temperature. Flash column chromatography (gradient, 2-5% MeOH/CH2Cl2) gave the title compound as an off-white foam. 1H-NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.26 (d, J=5.5 Hz, 1H), 7.68 (d, J=1.53 Hz, 1H), 7.50 (m, 2H), 7.40 (m, 4H), 7.30 (s, 1H), 7.16 (s, 1H), 6.86 (s, 1H), 6.25 (d, J=5.49 Hz, 1H), 3.64 (t, J=5.19 Hz, 2H), 4H), 3.46 (m, 4H), 2.44 (m, 4H), 2.35 (s, 3H), 2.08 (s, 3H).
