Reaction Steps

4-(3-Methoxy-propionyl)-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid (2-hydroxy-1-(S)-phenyl-ethyl)-amide was treated with an excess of Bredereck's reagent in THF at room temperature to 50° C. for 3 days. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the concentrate was used directly in the next step. HPLC Method B, Rt=5.0 minutes “broad peak”.
