Reaction Steps
N-(3,3-Dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-6-yl)-2-nitro-benzamide (Step B) (300 mg, 0.96 mmol) was treated with acetaldehyde (70 μL) and NaBH(OAc)3 (300 mg, 1.4 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (50 mL) overnight. After drying in vacuo, the reaction mixture was purified via flash chromatography on silica gel using EtOAc to afford the desired compound.
