Reaction Steps
2-(2,6-dichloro-4-ethoxycarbonylphenyl)-4-methyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole 1-oxide (2 g) was treated with trimethyloxonium tetrafluoroborate in a similar manner to Example 2. The product was dissolved in tetrahydrofuran and and treated as in Example 3 with sodium methanethiolate (0.4 g) to give 2-(2,6-dichloro-4-ethoxycarbonylphenyl)-4-methyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole, m.p. 136°-137.5°.
