Reaction Steps
When a solution of trans-(4R,6S)-6-[4,4-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-3-(1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-1,3-butadienyl]-tetrahydro-4-hydroxy-2H-pyran-2-one in tetrahydrofuran is treated with at least one equivalent of L-leucine methyl ester (prepared in situ from the hydrochloride salt) and heated to reflux temperature, the title compound is thereby produced.
