Reaction Steps
To 50 ml of chloroform were added 6.63 g of 4-[(1-acetylpiperidin-4-yl)acetyl]aniline·trifluoroacetate and 3.01 g of 4-chloro-5,6-dihydro-7H-cyclopenta[d]pyrimidine, and after adding 10 ml of a chloroform solution of hydrochloric acid (containing 0.6 g of hydrochloric acid), the mixture was reacted under reflux for 3 hours. After the reaction, a 28% sodium methylate-methanol solution was added to the reaction mixture under cooling to make it alkaline. After removing solid material, the filtrate was condensed under reduced pressure and the obtained residue was applied to silica gel column chromatography to obtain 6.08 g of the title compound as yellowish white powder.
