50 ml of dichloromethane was added to 4.55 g of N-t-butoxycarbonyl-4-[4-(1-benzylpiperidin-4-yl)-3-hydroxybutanoyl]aniline, and trifluoroacetic acid was added to the mixture at room temperature until no foaming occurred. Then, the solvent was removed by distillation under reduced pressure, and the obtained residue was applied to silica gel column chromatography to obtain 1.21 g of the title compound as white powder.
