102 g of allyl-bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid anhydride and 100 g of cyclohexylamine are heated to 137° C. under 4,000 Pa. 59 ml of water and excess cyclohexylamine are distilled off. Distillation of the residue at 162°-163° C. under 10.7 Pa gives 87.6 g (62% of theory) of an oil of nD20 1.5296 and η25 72.8 Pa.s.
