Reaction Steps
A mixture of 11-(piperidin-4-yl)-5H,11H-pyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzoxazepine (2.93 g, 0.011 mole), K2CO3 (10 g), KI (0.1 g) and 2,3-dimethoxyphenethyl chloride (2.45 g, 0.012 mole) in 100 ml of n-butyl acetate was heated at reflux for 50 hours. The mixture was then filtered and concentrated to give 5.5 g of an oil.
