Reaction Steps
A solution of hexahydro-5-oxo-1H-pyrrolizine-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (5.0 g, 0.0254 mol) in N,N-diethylaminoethylamine (23.2 g, 0.2 mol) is stirred at room temperature 24 hours and heated at 80° C. for 24 hours. The solution is concentrated at reduced pressure and distilled to yield N-[N,N-diethylamino-ethyl]hexahydro-5-oxo-1H-pyrrolizine-3-carboxamide
