Procedure

To the neat trifluoroacetate from Step D of this Example (12.3 g) was added a mixture of 1:1 MeOH-NEt3 (600 ml) and the resulting reaction mixture was evaporated under vacuum. The procedure was repeated twice more. The residue was dissolved in CH2Cl2, washed with 1N HCl and brine and dried over Na2SO4. Evaporation of the solvent gave the title compound as an oil (7.8 g, 97%).
