Reaction Steps
The colourless oil, (E)-[3-(4-bromophenyl)-but-2-enyloxy]-tert-butyl-dimethylsilane was prepared from (E)-3-(4-bromophenyl)-but-2-en-1-ol (example 50b), imidazole and tert-butyl chlorodimethylsilane by a procedure analogous to that described in example 129b.
