Reaction Steps
Following General Procedure B above using N-(3,5-difluorophenylacetyl)-L-alanine (Example B) and 3-(S)-amino-ε-caprolactam (Aldrich), the title compound was prepared as a solid having a melting point>225° C. The reaction was monitored by tlc on silica gel (Rf=0.36 in 1:9 methanol/dichloromethane).
