Reaction Steps
A mixture of aminoindole (D49, 0.46 g, 2.1 mmol), phenyl chloroformate (0.26 mL, 2.1 mmol) and triethylamine (0.29 mL, 2.1 mmol) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. The mixture was then diluted with dichloromethane, washed with water, dried and evaporated. The residue was dissolved in acetonitrile (10 mL). 5-Methoxy-6-trifluoromethylindoline (D11, 0.45 g, 2.1 mmol) and triethylamine (0.29 mL, 2.1 mmol) were added and the mixture was stirred for 3 h at room temperature. The reaction was worked up as for Example 71, and the solid obtained after trituration was recrystallised from dichloromethane/petrol to give the title compound (0.26 g, 27%), m.p. 215-8° C.
