Reaction Steps
1-(4-Fluoro-benzyl)-4-(4-methoxy-benzenesulfonyl)-piperidine-4-carboxylic acid was prepared starting from 1-(4-fluoro-benzyl)-4-(4-methoxy-benzenesulfonyl)-piperidine-4- carboxylic acid ethyl ester (17.4 g, 40 nmnol) dissolved in THF:methanol 3:1 and 10N NaOH (40 ml). The resulting reaction mixture was worked up as outlined in example 83. Yield 10.8 g (66%); colorlesssolid; mp 154° C.; MS: 408 (M+H)+.
