Procedure

After dibenzo[a,j]perylene dissolved in carbon tetrachloride was brominated with cooling for four hours by adding one molar equivalent of bromine, the reaction product was refined in accordance with an ordinary method to obtain 8-bromodibenzo[a,j]perylene. Di-p-tolylamine, potassium carbonate and copper powder were added to the thus obtained 8-bromodibenzo[a,j]perylene and were allowed to react for 30 hours at 20020 C. After the reaction solution was diluted with water, the reaction product was extracted with chloroform. Thereafter, it was refined in accordance with an ordinary method to obtain a target compound expressed in Formula 26.
