Reaction Steps
To a suspension of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)piperazine dihydrochloride (539 mg) and 3-(chlorosulfonyl)benzoic acid (441 mg) in dichloromethane (50 ml) was added diisopropylethylamine (0.8 ml). After stirring overnight at room temperature the reaction mixture was washed with 2N HCl (3×25 ml) and brine (25 ml), dried over MgSO4, filtered and evaporated to give the title compound as white solid (290 mg, 38%).
