4-(2-Hydroxy-ethyl)-1,3-dihydro-indol-2-one (0.1 g, 0.6 mmol) was condensed with 4-oxo-2,4,6,7-tetrahydro-pyrano[3,4-c]pyrrole-1-carbaldehyde (1.2 eq, 0.06 g) to give 0.5 g (28%) of the title compound as a yellow solid.
