Procedure

A solution of 1S (430 mg, 0.65 mmol) and 10% Pd/C (80 mg) in methanol (20 ml) was stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere for 30 min. The mixture was filtered through Celite and concentrated to give 413 mg (100%) of unstable glycosylamine 2S which was used without further purification in the next reaction.
