Versuchsvorschrift

MnO2 (3 g, 34.82 mmol) was added to a solution of (2-(methyl(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)amino)thiazol-5-yl)methanol (1.59 g, 6.96 mmol) in CHCl3 (50 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at RT for 2 days. Then the solution was filtered through celite and concentrated, yielding 2-(methyl-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)amino)thiazole-5-carbaldehyde (1.5 g, 96%) as a yellow oil.
