Versuchsvorschrift

To a mixture of methyl 2-n-butyl-5-ethoxycarbonylacetyl-3-[2'-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)biphenyl-4-yl]methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyridine-4-carboxylate (2.0 g), triethylamine (0.69 g) and chloroform (20 ml) is added trityl chloride (1.43 g), and the mixture is stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. The reaction solution is washed, dried, and evaporated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue is purified by silica gel column chromatography (solvent; ethyl acetate/n-hexane) to give methyl 2-n-butyl-5-ethoxycarbonylacetyl-3-[2'-(1-trityl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)biphenyl-4-yl]methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-c]pyridine-4-carboxylate (1.29 g) as needles. m.p. 124°-126° C. (decomposed)
