The reaction mixture was added to a mixture of sodium bicarbonate (3.02 g, 35.9 mmol) in water (10 mL)-ethyl acetate (10 mL) to neutralize, the organic layer was separated, and the aqueous layer was extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layers were washed with saturated brine, dried over magnesium sulfate, treated with active carbon, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from ethyl acetate-hexane to obtain 497 mg of the title compound.
