Versuchsvorschrift

To a mixture containing 4-[2-(3-Isopropyl-phenylamino)-1-methyl-1H-benzo-imidazol-5-yloxy]-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (2-amino-ethyl)-amide (1 eq) (prepared using previously described example 3), K2CO3 (5 eq), (0.2 M in a 5:1 mixture of acetonitrile and water) were added α-toluenesulfonyl chloride (1 eq) via syringe. The resulting heterogeneous mixture was allowed to stir for 1 hour at room temperature. The mixture was then diluted with water and extracted with dichloromethane. The organics were washed with water and a saturated solution of sodium chloride, dried with sodium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo to viscous oil. Purification by chromatography yielded 4-[2-(3-Isopropyl-phenylamino)-1-methyl-1H-benzoimidazol-5-yloxy]-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (2-phenylmethanesulfonylamino-ethyl)-amide. MS: MH+599
