Procedure
Compound 2 was coupled with benzoic acid by procedure K. LC-MS showed the product had the expected M+H+ of 560. 1H NMR (Varian 300 MHz, CD3OD, shifts relative to the solvent peak at 3.35 ppm) 8.5 (d, 1H) 8.2 (d, 1H) 8.1 (s, 1H) 8.0 (d, 2H) 7.6 (d, 2H), 7.4 (m, 5H), 7.1 (m, 2H), 6.7 (d, 2H), 4.4 (s, 2H), 3.6 (t, 2H), 3.23 (d, 2H), 2.9 (s, 3H), 2.8 (t, 2H), 1.8 (m, 2H).
