Procedure
To a cooled solution of (6-chloro-2-methyl-5-nitro-pyrimidin-4-yl(2,4,6-trimethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-amine (88 mg, 0.29 mmol) in 1 ml of dry THF was added 1 ethyl-propyl-amine (80 mg, 0.92 mmol) at −78° C. The mixture was stirred at that temperature for 3 hrs, then warmed to −10° C. for 1 hour. The mixture was quenched with water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was dried and concentrated to give the title compound (88 mg, 86%) as an orange solid, mp 151-152° C. 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 9.16 (d, 1H), 6.92 (s, 1H), 4.35 (m, 1H), 2.50 (s, 3H), 2.39 (s, 3H), 2.18 (s, 3H), 2.16 (s, 3H), 1.5-1.80 (m, 4H), 0.94 (t, 6H) ppm.
