Procedure
2-Chloroethylisothiocyanate (670 mg., 0.0055 mole) is added to a warm (40° C.) solution of N-amidino 3,5-diamino-6-chloro-2-pyrazinecarboxamide (1.15 g., 0.005 mole) in DMF (30 ml.) with stirring. After 2 hours, the solid precipitate is collected, washed with H2 0 and dried to give 3,5-diamino-6-chloro-N-[(2-thiazolinylamino)aminomethylene]-2-pyrazinecarboxamide., m.p. 252°-254° C.
