Procedure

16.5 grams of 1,1-bis-(methylthio)-2-nitroethene are dissol ved under hot conditions in 100 ml of tetrachloroethane, 8.5 grams of piperidine are added, the mixture is heated under reflux for 2 hours, is then cooled and anhydrous gaseous ammonia is added until saturated.
