FOR ALMOST ALL SPECIES, THE MOST EFFECTIVE SALTS CAUSING MORTALITY WERE CENTERED AROUND POTASSIUM OLEATE IN THE UNSATURATED C18 SALTS.
OF 11 C6-C22 EVEN-NUMBERED SATURATED & UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS & THEIR POTASSIUM SALTS TESTED FOR TOXICITY TO BALSAM WOOLLY APHID, ADELGES PICEAE, THE MOST EFFECTIVE FATTY ACID POTASSIUM SALTS WERE CAPRYLATE, CAPRATE, OLEATE, & LINOLEATE.
