実験手順

1-Ethoxycarbonyl-6-(4,5-dihydro-4,4-dimethyloxazol-2-yl)-2-dimethoxyphosphoryl-1,2-dihydroquinoline (934 mg) was dissolved in THF (10 ml), and a 1.6 M n-butyllithiumhexane solution (1.8 ml) was added under cooling with dry ice-acetone. The mixture was stirred for 1 hr at the same temperature. 4-(Iodomethyl)biphenyl (740 mg, 2.52 mmol) was added under cooling with dry ice-acetone, and the mixture was stirred at −20° C. for 1 hr and at 0° C. for 1 hr. Then, water was added, and the mixture was stirred for 0.5 hr at room temperature and extracted three times with ethyl acetate. The extract was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent: ethyl acetate, ethyl acetate/methanol=20/1) to give the objective compound (738 mg) as a yellow powder.
