反応手順
Michler's Ethylene (5g) and of 4,4'-bis-(dimethylamino)-benzhydrol (5g, Michler's Hydrol) were dissolved in methanol (50g) and 4-sulphotoluene (0.1g) was added. After stirring and heating under reflux for 2 hours, the insoluble crude product was isolated by filtration, washed with methanol and crystallised from toluene as a white solid (7g), MP 189°-190° C.
