実験手順

Palladium tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) (221 mg, 0.19 mmol) was added to a degassed, ambient temperature solution of 2-[2-(4-bromophenyl)-1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl]-4-(2,2-dimethylbutyl)-N,N-dimethyl-1H-imidazole-1-sulfonamide (Intermediate 11) (900 mg, 1.9 mmol), 2-bromo-5-fluoropyridine (336 mg, 1.9 mmol) and hexamethylditin (626 mg, 1.9 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (20 mL). After stirring at reflux overnight, the reaction mixture was diluted with water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic extracts were dried (magnesium sulfate) and concentrated in vacuo. Chromatography over silica eluting with 0-60% ethyl acetate/hexane afforded 4-(2,2-dimethylbutyl)-2-{2-[4-(5-fluoropyridin-2-yl)phenyl]-1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl}-N,N-dimethyl-1H-imidazole-1-sulfonamide.
