The mixture was hydrogenated at 50 psi hydrogen over 10% Pd/C (100 mg). After 24 h and 90 h, an additional amount of palladium on carbon (100 mg) was added to the reaction mixture and hydrogenation was continued for a total of 180 h. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of Celite and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by HPLC using a reversed phase C18 column and eluting with a gradient of H2O:CH3 CN:CF3 CO2H—90:10:0.1 to 5:95:0.1. Lyophilization provided the title compound. MS: m/z=253 (M+1).
