실험 절차

To a round bottom flask was added CH2Cl2 (100 mL) followed by the addition of AlCl3 (2.2 g, 16.3 mmol). The suspension was stirred 5 min at room temperature, methylchloroglyoxylate (1.66 mL, 17.88 mmol) was added and stirred an additional 5 min, followed by the addition of 11 (0.841 g, 3.27 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, quenched with water, neutralized with NaHCO3 and extracted with EtOAc three times. The combined organic extracts were washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered and the solvent removed leaving a brown oil. The material was purified by column chromatography (0-5% MeOH/CH2Cl2) providing 1.08 g of 12 (97%) as a yellow solid. LC-MS: Calculated mass=343. Observed mass=344.
