Procedure
Analogously to Example 13, 1,3,5-trimethyl-6-(3-chloropropylamino)-2,4(1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione (130 mmol) is refluxed for 14 h with 1-(2-methoxy-4-nitrophenyl)piperazine (100 mmol) and tripropylamine (75 ml) in 300 ml of diglyme. After removing the solvent in vacuo, the mixture is worked up in the customary manner, and after purification by column chromatography, the title compound is obtained in 79% yield (m.p. 131-133° C.).
