Procedure

The title compound was prepared as described in General Method 5 using 4.11 g (18.2 mmol) of 3-(3-hydroxy-phenyl)-1-phenyl-propan-1-one from Example M, 1.5 g (22 mmol) of imidazole, 3.0 g (20 mmol) of t-butyldimethylsilyl chloride and 75 mL of CH2Cl2. The product was carried on crude to the next step (see Example UU).
