A solution of (S)-N-[[3-[3-fluoro-4-[1-(carbobenzyloxy)-3-azetidinyl]phenyl]-2-oxo-5-oxazolidinyl]methyl]acetamide (Example 81, Step 9, 1.44 g, 3.26 mmol) in ethyl acetate (25 mL) and absolute ethanol (50 mL) was added to 10% Pd/C (1.0 g) and hydrogenated at 30 psi for 7 hr. Filtration and evaporation gave the title compound as a white glassy solid. FAB-HRMS: theory 308.1410 (M+1); meas. 308.1408.
