Procedure

The title compound was prepared from 2,5-dimethyl-3-furoic acid and 4-ethoxy-2-nitroaniline as an orange solid as described in Example 15. 1H NMR (CDCl3): 10.59 (s, 1H), 8.83 (d, J=9.0, 1H), 7.70 (d, J=3.0, 1H), 7.27-7.25 (m, 1H), 6.24 (s, 1H), 4.08 (q, J=6.9, 2H), 2.62 (s, 3H), 2.30 (s, 3H), 1.45 (t, J=6.9, 3H).
