Procedure
Acetic acid (1 mL) was added to a solution of 3-(4-fluorophenyl)dihydrofuran-2-one (393 mg) and hydrazine (699 mg) in methanol (10 mL), and the reaction solution was heated to reflux for two hours. The reaction solution was left to cool to room temperature. Then, ethyl acetate and concentrated aqueous ammonia were added to the reaction solution, and the organic layer was separated. The resulting organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and then concentrated under reduced pressure. Chloroform was added to the residue, and the precipitated solid was collected by filtration to obtain 147 mg of the title compound. The property values of the compound are as follows.
