To a solution of 2-[(2,2-dimethylpentyl)oxy]-8-methoxy-9-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-9H-purin-6-amine (323 mg) in dry MeOH (3.23 mL) was added TFA (0.323 mL) and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 48 h. The reaction was concentrated in vacuo to give a yellow residue. The residue was triturated with Et2O and was filtered to give the title compound as an off-white solid (252 mg).
