To a solution of 2-[(1-methylbutyl)oxy]-8-methoxy-9-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-9H-purin-6-amine (313 mg) in dry MeOH (3.13 mL) was added TFA (0.313 mL) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 48 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give a yellow residue which was triturated with Et2O and filtered to give the title compound as an off-white solid (218 mg).
