Procedure
To a solution of N2-butyl-9-[2-(2,2-dimethyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)ethyl]-8-(methyloxy)-9H-purine-2,6-diamine (135 mg, 0.359 mmol) in methanol (10 ml) was added 4M HCl solution in dioxane (2.241 ml, 8.96 mmol) and the mixture was left standing at 20° C. After 6 hours the solvent was evaporated under a stream of nitrogen. The residue was loaded in methanol onto a 10 g aminopropyl SPE cartridge and eluted with methanol. The solvent was removed by evaporation to give the title compound (129 mg).
