To a solution of diisopropyl-p-tolyl-phosphane (2.6 g, 12.48 mmol) in DCM (5 mL) at 0° C. was added hydrogen peroxide (4.08 mL, 13.31 mmol) dropwise. The reaction mixture was allowed to warm to RT. The reaction was diluted with DCM, washed with water, brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The material was used without further purification. MS: cal'd 225 (MH+), exp 225 (MH+).
