6-Bromo-N2-((tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)methyl)pyrazine-2,3-diamine. In a sealed tube, a solution of 5-bromopyrazine-2,3-diamine (6.98 g, 2.78 mmol), (tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)methanamine (4.0 g, 3.47 mmol), diisopropylethylamine (6.06 mL, 3.47 mmol) in n-butanol (100 mL) was heated at 120° C. for 17 h. The volatiles were removed under reduced pressure. The residue was taken up in hexanes/diethylether and sonicated. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration to provide the desired product (5.10 g, 64% yield). MS (ESI) m/z 289.1 [M+1]+.
