Procedure
The resulting methyl methacrylate/maleic anhydride/styrene copolymer (b-3) had a methyl methacrylate content of 74% by mass, a maleic anhydride content of 10% by mass and a styrene content of 16% by mass, a weight average molecular weight of 121000, and a melt flow rate (ASTM-D1238; 230° C., 3.8 kg load) of 1.6 g/10 minutes. In addition, it had a photoelastic coefficient (undrawn) at 23° C. of −2.9×10−12 Pa−1 and a negative inherent birefringence.
