A solution of 475 mg of the above 1-(SR)-(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)-phenyl)methoxy-2-(SR)-phenyl-3-(RS)-(N-(benzyloxycarbonyl)-N-methylamino) cyclopentane in 5 mL of 1:1 methanol: ethyl acetate was hydrogenated over 100 mg of 10% Pd/C for 2 hours. The reaction was filtered and concentrated to afford the title compound as an oil. Mass spec (NH3/CI): 418 (M+1).
