Procedure
A solution of 2 g of the product obtained in Step C in 8 ml of toluene, and 12 mmol of POCl3, are heated at reflux. After 4 hours, the reaction mixture is poured onto ice, rendered basic by the addition of a 20% sodium hydroxide solution and then extracted with dichloromethane. The organic phase is dried and filtered and then evaporated, enabling the expected product to be isolated.
