A mixture of 1-[3-({[tert-butyl(dimethyl)silyl]oxy}methyl)-2-fluorophenyl]piperazine and MeCN was added to 2-chloro-1-(3-methoxyazetidin-1-yl)ethanone (130 mg) and potassium carbonate (219 mg), followed by stirring at 80° C. for 3 hours. CHCl3 was added to the reaction mixture, and the insoluble matter was removed by filtration. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (MeOH/CHCl3) to obtain 2-{4-[3-({[tert-butyl(dimethyl)silyl]oxy}methyl)-2-fluorophenyl]piperazin-1-yl}-1-(3-methoxyazetidin-1-yl)ethanone (354 mg).
