Procedure
1.23 g (4.11 mmol) of 1-Chloro-6-(piperidin-4-yloxy)-isoquinoline hydrochloride (161) were dissolved in 50 ml of dichloromethane and 0.85 ml (6.15 mmol) of triethylamine were added. At 0° C. a solution of 1.09 g (5.0 mmol) of tert-butyl-carbonate in 10 ml dichloromethane was added dropwise and the mixture was allowed to stand at room temperature overnight. For working up, the mixture was washed twice with H2O, dried over magnesium sulfate and evaporated, to yield 1.1 g of the desired product, which could be used without further purification. Rt=1.86 min (Method #4). Detected mass: 363.1/365.2 (M+H+).
