Using 0.75 g (1.89 mmol) of 4-[3-(4-cyano phenoxy)-5-hydroxy benzoyl]-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester and 1-bromo-4-bromomethyl-benzene (0.472 g, 1.89 mmol) and following the procedure of Example 42(b) afforded 0.85 g of the required product. Percentage purity (LCMS): 75.2%, (M+1)=563.1+1.
