To a suspension of 2-(acetylamino)-4-methyl-1,3-thiazole-5-sulfonyl chloride (1.0 g) in DCM (10 ml) was added tert-butylamine (0.92 ml) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2d. The mixture was diluted with H2O and extracted with DCM (×3). The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4), filtered and evaporated to give the subtitle compound as a beige foam. Yield 1.1 g.
